George Strauss
 George
Strauss, Principal, brings to each client assignment more than
20 years of achievement in the communications field. He began
his career as a reporter for The Cleveland Plain Dealer
and was an account executive, account supervisor and vice president
at a number of public relations and investor relations firms in
New York from 1981 to 1994.
Prior to entering
the public relations field, he worked for a Madison Avenue market
research firm. Over the years he has applied his marketing skills
to a variety of client programs in the belief that marketing should
be an essential part of all forms of public relations/investor
relations.
Besides providing
effective strategic counseling to a wide range of companies and
organizations, he has implemented programs for communicating with
the investment community, business and consumer media relations,
Internet marketing and customer research. He has also worked with
clients to develop effective collateral materials and prepare
executives for a variety of presentations.
George has helped companies large and small to achieve their business objectives. Among the clients he served prior to founding the firm were IBM, Insignia Solutions, HealthCare Abroad, Coopers & Lybrand, NatWest Securities, Swiss Bank Corporation, Suncoast Savings, Pogo Producing Company and Pennzoil Company.
As a member
of the Executive Committee of the Financial Communications Section
of the Public Relations Society of America, George has organized
roundtables on equity research today and communicating corporate
restructurings. He has also developed programs for the International
Committee of the New York Chapter of PRSA on international business
reporting, communicating in the European Community and the boom
in Latin America.
